Complementary Units

Several other initiatives of our group are designed to contribute to our mission and vision. Review this page to learn a bit about them.

As a mission-based consulting group, our main focus is on offering effective services and trainings supporting organizations, groups, networks, and communities with big goals to work together successfully. To achieve our ambitious vision for 2030, however, a broader range of activities is needed. That’s why we established a Canadian-registered non-profit society in 2020, and why we are now developing a full-blown, online training institute (set for launch in March 2023). When this is all up and running, we will start work on a public mobilization unit, and a complementary local economic development unit. Which aspect of these initiatives inspires you most? Learn a little more, then consider getting involved as a volunteer or intern, or contact us with your questions. Inspiring ideas and partnerships are very welcome.

Training Institute

Building capacity for collaborative work (communication, facilitation, alignment, strategy, implementation, evaluation, policy, etc.) in organizations, communities and society is core to our mission. We provide crisp, customized training in these areas (and in specific topics such as cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution). Cost- effective fee-for-service training is offered both in-person and online. We also offer free training to youth activists who would benefit from such additional skills as they get their careers underway.

Non-Profit Society

Pivot19.org connects innovators (e.g. Mission LOOP) creating needed and positive change with more mainstream audiences. Raising the profile of such initiatives, attracting volunteers to their and our activities, developing grant applications, and fund-raising for our various pro-bono efforts, this aligned non-profit recently revitalized its board and updated its strategic priorities. Public Awareness

Informative videos, conference presentations, E-books, PDFs, and websites will all help the public and decision-makers learn more about emerging solutions to collective challenges. Engagement success depends on a solid basis of awareness and education, so outreach will be essential and we have attracted a bunch of creative communicators to help with this aspect. Learn more.

Local Economic Development

A balanced approach to human endeavour and happiness incorporates sustainable prosperity, and rejects inequitable, ecologically damaging and short-term economic thinking and behaviour. Drawing from extensive practical experience with LED and sustainable livelihoods, we help to ground, expand and drive such thinking and practice with our clients AND in our own projects.
